Road Transfers & Flights

Inzalo Safari Lodge is a mere two-and-a-half-hour drive or an easy 45-minute flight from Johannesburg into one of the reserve’s two airstrips. Our Reservations team will gladly assist with arranging transfers or chartered flights on your behalf.

The road between Johannesburg and the reserve is a well-maintained motorway, convenient for those who prefer to travel independently. Note that there are toll roads en route, if you are an international traveler it is recommended that you have cash Rands on hand for tollgates and filling up at petrol stations. Not all international credit cards are accepted.

Important notes:

  • Total travel distance from Johannesburg is 270km.

  • The roads are well maintained but please be on the lookout for game on the road between Modimolle and the reserve, especially after dark.

  • We recommend travelling during the daylight hours.

  • Private vehicles are not allowed in the reserve. Secure parking is available at all entrance gates from which you will be collected by Inzalo Safari Lodge staff.
